A Moose Jaw judge agreed with Cory Haliwyz that glancing at his phone did not mean he was driving distracted.
Haliwyz was ticketed a year ago while driving down Moose Jaw’s Main Street after he picked up his phone when it vibrated in his console. He saw that his daughter had sent a text and he put the phone back down. He did not reply then, planning to call her or text back when he could pull over.
